Microfiber Extreme 150g

Extreme Microfiber – Advanced Synthetic Reinforcement Additive

We offer Extreme Synthetic Microfiber, a high-performance additive designed for dispersed reinforcement of composite materials. It effectively minimizes shrinkage and enhances internal cohesion across all axes.

Its primary role is to support the thixotropy of resins on vertical and overhead surfaces, while simultaneously increasing mechanical strength.

Key Applications of Extreme Microfibers:

  • Structural repair and reinforcement

  • Putty formulations

  • Filling voids and cavities

  • Resin-based adhesive manufacturing

  • Plasticizing fiber-cement products

  • Thin-layer and precision cement detailing (no more shrinkage or cracking)

  • Many other industrial and construction uses

Advantages:

  • Hydrophobic: does not absorb water, regardless of temperature

  • High elasticity and resistance to tensile and impact stress

  • Biologically inert

  • Lightweight

  • UV- and aging-resistant

  • Enhances the performance and durability of final products

Recommended Dosage:

  • Epoxy resins: up to 25% by weight

  • Polyester resins: up to 15% by weight

Mix mechanically with component A before adding hardener B.

For fiber-cement and cold-resistant cementitious applications (e.g. tile adhesives), we recommend fatigue and destructive tests to determine optimal performance. Aggregate grain size should not exceed 1 mm.

Bulk density: 1 liter ≈ 100 grams

How is Extreme Microfiber made?

Our synthetic fiber is 100% polyester-based. Polyesters are polymers with ester bonds, formed via esterification of hydroxy acids. The resulting material is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) – the same polymer used in beverage bottles and textile fibers.

The PET granulate is melted at 280°C and extruded into precisely structured fibers. Depending on the synthesis method, it can exhibit various advanced properties. Leveraging over 11 years of expertise in polyester textile processing, we have engineered Extreme Microfiber to meet demanding technical standards.

We listen to nature. We care about sustainability.

Unlike most, we use recycled polyester (r-PET) – a challenging and costly process, but one we believe is crucial for environmental responsibility.
